Men's Ministry
Agape's men's ministry promotes spiritual growth through regular meetings and retreats. All men are welcomed to join.
Men's Ministry Gatherings
Our men's group meets twice a month at 7 PM for Bible study and fellowship. Please check our church calendar for the specific dates. Each meeting is led by different members, offering personal testimonies, diverse perspectives, and teachings from the word of God.
Contact and Online Participation
If you're interested in more details or have questions, feel free to contact the church. For those unable to attend in person, there's also the option to participate through Zoom.
Leadership
The Men's Ministry is diligently overseen by Pastor Chip Adams-Compton, ensuring a strong spiritual foundation for all activities and teachings. Russ Nitchman is the facilitator of the Men's Ministry. His role is selecting speakers and topics for group study, making room for the men to pray for and minister to each other, and planning various men's fellowship events. Russ has a heart for unity in the Body of Christ, and has worked to bring together men from various fellowships to come together for special meetings that include worship, teaching and ministry one to another.
Special Events and Retreats
In addition to monthly meetings, the Men's group organizes special events outside of the church. Notably, there are occasional retreats at Tenwood Lodge in Danby, NY. This serene lodge is owned by Agape members, Russ and Kim Nitchman. These retreats are a time of rejuvenation and bonding. Activities include fellowship, worship, sharing testimonies, teachings, and prayer sessions. Attendees also look forward to a delectable steak barbecue. For those interested in outdoor fun, there's fishing, skeet shooting, and target practice available.
Our Mission
Our paramount aim is to bring the men of our community together before the Lord. This promotes unity among members and fosters spiritual growth.
Join Us
We warmly welcome all men to be a part of our Men's Group. Whether you're a long-time member or new to the community, consider inviting a friend, relative, or family member to share in the experience.
